A skill-forward experience asks for a meaningful choice - pattern recognition, timing, memory, placement, or another intentional action - then applies clear rules to that choice.

GAME OF CHANCE

A random event determines the result.

A game is chance-based when a random spin, deal, or arrangement decides whether something of value is received. A skill feature added afterward does not remove that chance element.

Why this matters in Texas: Attorney General Opinion KP-0520 states that chance playing any role in whether something of value is awarded can create a gambling-device issue, even where some skill is involved. A specific hardware and software configuration needs qualified Texas gaming-counsel review.
